I have just launched my campaign as a candidate for the Windermere Ward of the City of Greater Geelong. My new website www.kyliegrzybek.com has lots of information.
I just wanted to share with you the support I have received from so many people so far. My support from the "Think Woman for Local Government" has been great. I attended a seminar in Geelong and everything has followed that!

I am disgusted with the sexist comments made by Cr Colin Hampton at Frankston City Council regarding whether women are fit to serve on local councils (Frankston Standard Leader, 24 Feb 2012).

Think about your strategy for how you will allocate your preferences and seek advice on how you would do this if new to the process.
Plan different preferencing options and negotiations - ideally with the help of an experienced person or mentor.
You may want to meet up with any other potential candidates who you think could be running in the election. Have a coffee and see if you have similar agendas (but, don't promise anything!).
